About me

Dr Castell currently works in independent practice. Prior to this, she was a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and worked in Child and Adolescent Services, CAMHS and an Adult Autism Assessment Service. She has worked clinically within NHS Child, Adult, Learning Disability and Older Adult psychology services since 2006. Dr Castell has worked within primary and secondary care mental health services, as well as acute services.

Dr Castell offers appointments from her practice in North Devon. She works with adults and young people.

Dr Castell has experience of delivering a broad range of psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT. She works integratively, drawing upon a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques.

Dr Castell completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014, awarded by the University of Birmingham and is registered with the Health Professionals Council in the UK. Dr Castell has completed further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ACT; Compassionate Focused Therapy, CFT and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, DBT.
