About me
I provide tailored therapy to meet your specific needs and aim to help you develop robust, lifelong coping strategies. My goal is to build your resilience and confidence in overcoming current and future distress. I provide a safe, welcoming and calm space for you to explore what is troubling you and develop new ways of being.
I am a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a BPS Chartered Psychologist. I have worked in psychology for 19 years, across a range of settings, including the NHS and Home Office. I am registered with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) therapist, the leading national accreditation body for CBT. I also have experience using a schema therapy model.
Areas of interest
Clinically, I work with people experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, low self-esteem, anger, bipolar, phobias and trauma/PTSD. These symptoms can be associated with past traumatic experiences in childhood/adulthood, bereavement, abuse, domestic violence or bullying; psychological effects of long Covid. I also work with young adults over age 14.
