Qualified MB ChB from Leeds University in 1985.
Trained in cardiology in the Yorkshire region and held the post of National Heart Research Fund Research Fellow at Killingbeck Hospital in Leeds for 3 years. Appointed Consultant Cardiologist in Bolton in 1995.
