About me

I am a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and The Priory Hospital. My aim is to provide a comprehensive and caring approach to the management of patients.

I qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine with distinction in 2003. Following general medical training in London, I began my Cardiology training in Cardiff. In 2011, I was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship in Oxford to investigate the mechanisms that lead to life threatening heart rhythms leading to being awarded my DPhil in 2016. I have presented and published my work at international meetings and high-impact journals, and was awarded the British Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Prize in 2014.

My subspecialty training in Electrophysiology and Device Therapy was in Oxford. I followed this with a year in the renowned lab of Professor Jon Kalman in Melbourne where I added to my experience in complex catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and arrhythmia in congenital heart disease. I was appointed to my Consultant post at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in June 2018 where I look after patient with heart rhythm disorders, including catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, and device implantation. I also deliver the Inherited Cardiac Conditions clinic where patients with genetic or inherited conditions are managed. My research interest includes mechanisms of atrial fibrillation, atrial imaging, and treatment of ventricular tachycardia.
