Publications

I have published over 100 papers and 20 book chapters, almost all concerned with disorders of the shoulder and elbow. It has been a great privilege to collaborate with a great number of people both in the UK and internationally. Subjects range from epidemiology to basic anatomy and biomechanical studies, from clinical outcomes studies to basic cytological science. This work, over the last 20 years but more intensively in the last 10 years, has informed my clinical practice, and has encouraged me to continue in depth investigation of the mechanisms of instability, of rotator cuff biology, the outcomes and design of implants, and the treatment of trauma of the shoulder and elbow.
