About me

I am a consultant clinical psychologist with over 24 years clinical experience within the NHS before moving to private practice, offering psychological therapy for a wide range of adult mental health difficulties.

Mental health or emotional problems range from mild anxiety or stress to more complex and severe problems. They are part of what makes us human, but they can all have a significant impact on our lives, affecting relationships, work, physical health and general well being.

Psychological therapy involves working together using psychological expertise and your own expertise in yourself to help increase understanding of your difficulties and to help identify and implement interventions that may help to reduce emotional distress and bring significant changes to your mental wellbeing and to the quality of your life.

Seeking help can be daunting, especially if you're not used to talking about your problems. Rest assured that, in my experience, the vast majority of people find it helpful to talk in a safe, professional and confidential environment. I would be happy to have an initial chat on the phone to help decide if I can be of help to you.
