About me

Many of my clients come by referral from previous clients, often wanting to look at issues at work or in their personal lives. My previous corporate career and 20 years counselling in, private practice, for John Lewis and in schools add to my broad range of skills. I help to clarify the issues causing concern, which often present as stress, anxiety, depression or unhelpful coping mechanisms. Then we look at strategies that can be adopted to increase life satisfaction. All of my sessions are personalised, shaped by our work together. We can work on techniques to help in the short-term, and can look at the reasons that these issues occurred to prevent repeating behavioural patterns.
I listen and when appropriate, I provide challenge and techniques to do things differently, even when the situation cannot be changed. Much of my work integrates Positive Psychology - the science of wellbeing. This means that my clients have the time to understand what's behind their difficulties and implement practical changes to improve their situation.
