About me

I am originally from Manchester and completed my undergraduate medical training at Leeds Medical School, graduating in 2001. During this time, I also completed a BSc in Genetics in Relation to Medicine and later an MSc in Psychiatric Research. I have a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in general adult psychiatry and I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I am approved by the Secretary of State under Section 12 as having specialist expertise and experience in the assessment and treatment of mental disorder.

I have 20 years of experience working as a Psychiatrist and over 10 years working as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist in central London. I have held senior managerial roles, including Clinical Director for acute services in Westminster. More recently, I have decided to dedicate all of my time to private clinical practice.

My clinical experience means that I have an expertise in mood disorders, severe anxiety disorders, PTSD, and forensic work in relation to general adult psychiatry.

I feel passionate about my clinical work and like to adopt a holistic approach when treating patients. This means that I take into account the patient's individual background and their personal preferences for achieving mental wellbeing.
