About me

Michael Pearse trained in hip surgery in Exeter and Bristol before becoming Associate Professor at the University of Texas, undertaking orthopaedic trauma at a Level 1 Trauma Centre. He became a consultant in 1994 and established a hip replacement service at Central Middlesex and a specialist orthoplastic trauma unit at Charing Cross. He also performs specialist limb reconstruction work, correcting the damage caused by trauma such as infection, non-union and deformity.

Mr Pearse carries out a large number of foot and ankle surgeries at Central Middlesex each year and his innovative work on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome was shortlisted for a prestigious HSJ award in 2010.

Special interests include:

primary and revision hip replacement, foot and ankle conditions, upper limb problems (include carpal tunnel and trigger digit), high and low energy fractures, non-unions and deformities, sports and soft-tissue conditions.
