About me
Dr Banerjee completed his specialist training in respiratory and general internal medicine from Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. He completed his MD (Research) from University of Hertfordshire, London. I have been a Substantive Consultant at Medway NHS Foundation Trust since 2013.
Dr Banerjee has a broad range of respiratory expertise including the assessment of common respiratory symptoms like cough (including longstanding cough, cough with excessive sputum and coughing up blood), breathlessness, wheezing and unintentional weight-loss.
Dr Banerjee has expertise in managing conditions like asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, unexplained dyspnoea, lung cancer & patients with suspected lung nodules. He has specialist experience in managing patients with snoring and sleep apnoea. He can also assess and manage parasomnias, narcolepsy and other non breathing related sleep disorders including insomnia.
During 2020 I have also gained a lot of experience with treating covid-19, both the initial illness, and the after effects.
