About me
Ms Julie Bowring is a Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Health at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. She studied medicine at the University of Manchester and completed her general training in gynaecology and obstetrics in North West London. She went on to undertake further specialist training in colposcopy and sexual and reproductive health at the Royal Free Hospital, developing advanced expertise in the management of HPV-related disease.
She is currently the Gynaecology Lead for the Homerton Anogenital Neoplasia Service, where she is responsible for the management of women with HPV-related conditions affecting the cervix, vagina, vulva and anal canal. She is a BSCCP accredited colposcopist and also performs vulvoscopy and high-resolution anoscopy, offering advanced treatments including laser therapy for HPV-related lesions. Alongside this, she sees women with benign vulval and vaginal conditions, including vulval skin conditions and recurrent vaginal infections. She provides well woman check-ups, sexual health screening and offers all methods of contraception, including intrauterine devices.
Outside of work, she enjoys pilates, going to the Gym and spending time with her family and her two young children.
