About me

Vannakum and Welcome! I am Umaa Thampu MBACP (Accred), an accredited and experienced Gestalt therapist, author, educator and group facilitator. Currently, I find enrichment in private practice and delivering presentations.

I have been working with clients since 2012 in diverse professional settings, my dedication lies in enhancing people's well-being and cultivating meaning.

I provide a space for curiosity and creativity, allowing you to connect with your internal wisdom, strengthen the mind-body connection, and identify blocks hindering the realisation of your potential.

I aim to illuminate the options available to you by offering a fresh perspective. My approach incorporates respecting ancestral indigenous practices, utilising Gestalt concepts, and inviting creative experiments into the therapeutic space.

I facilitate tailor-made seminars for organisations and therapeutic spaces. Additionally my ongoing initiatives involve conducting seminars centered around my published chapter, "The Power of A Name," featured in the BAATN Anthology, "Therapy in Colour," which was released in April 2023.

I am dedicated to ongoing professional development, attending regular supervision whilst adhering to the BACP Code of Ethics and I am a member of BAATN (Black, African, and Asian Network), aligning with their core values, ideology, and mission statement.
