Training & background:
Dr Alya Abdul-Wahab graduated from St George’s Hospital in 2004 and underwent specialist training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London. She spent 3 years undertaking research in inherited skin disorders culminating in an MD awarded by King’s College London in Genetics and Molecular Medicine and then undertook further sub-specialist fellowship training in Paediatric Dermatology at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust.
She works as a consultant dermatologist at St George’s NHS Foundation Trust as well as Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton in both adult and paediatric clinics, and is the lead for Paediatric Dermatology across both sites.
