About me
Rob Morton is a Physiotherapist and owner of Oak Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic. He has 25 years experience in specialising in Musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, Sports injuries, Spinal pain and Hand therapy. As well as treating MSK injuries he has in depth knowledge and experience in treating patients both Pre-op or Post-operatively for Orthopaedic surgeries/conditions.
He completed a BSc.(Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy at Salford University in 1994 and became a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and the Health and Care Professions Council. He initially worked for Acute and Community NHS Hospital Trusts, then moved in to the Private sector in 1997. In 2007 he attained an MSc. Degree in the Science of Sports injury at Manchester Metropolitan University. This helped him specialise in Sports psychology, Sports biomechanics, Physiology and Exercise Therapy. Rob has worked with professional Rugby League and Rugby Union clubs as well as with International Athletes.
Rob has expertise in research especially in the area of Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction. He has presented various topics to fellow Physiotherapists, Masters degree programs, GP's, Consultants and Medical Advisory Committees.
His areas of interests come from some of the sporting interests he has such as Athletics, Rugby, Golf, Snowboarding, Skiing and Cycling. He holds an instructor qualification in Snowbarding through the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors.
