About me

I am a BACP Accredited therapist (adults) also UKCP trained as a Psychotherapeutic Counseller of Children and Adolescents with the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy. I have worked in many settings including NHS IAPT, Third Sector agencies and Primary and Secondary schools as a parent and child therapist.

I currently offer face to face and online Counselling via a video conferencing platform called doxy.me (used by health professionals). Please note I do not offer ADHD assessment.

It is important to me that you feel accepted, unjudged and safe with me at what is most likely a vulnerable time and I work at your pace to build a trusting, confidential relationship.

I am a Relational Practitioner and look at how past relationships may be impacting on your present to help you gain greater clarity about current situations and relationships. I am a level 1 and 2 trained Internal Family Systems therapist. IFS is a trauma release model working with different aspects of personality or parts to bring inner balance and self leadership. It is a gentle, collaborative and deeply healing model. I will work collaboratively with you to tailor the work to your needs.

You may be at a crossroads in your life, have experienced a life event such as bereavement, redundancy, divorce or retirement or be in need of a space to share what you are going through. Maybe you have felt unhappy all of your life and don't know why? These things can be explored safely in therapy to help you understand yourself and your situation better and to get what you want from life.

I see clients 9-5 Tuesdays, 9-4 Wednesdays, 12-6 Thursdays in my room in Horsforth.
I see clients remotely on doxy.me. I see people weekly.
