About me

A Chartered Clinical Psychologist and registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Accredited therapist and supervisor with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Accredited Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. Additional specialist training in Schema-Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

I work with adults, adolescents and couples. I specialise in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and relationship issues.

Qualifications:

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psych) from Oxford University

Postgraduate. Certificate in Advanced Trauma Studies

Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies, Reading University

I am a lecturer in Clinical Psychology and a senior clinical tutor at Reading University, teaching and supervising trainee cognitive behavioural therapists. I am an associate with Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC) and was previously the Clinical Lead for Cognitive Behavioural Therapies at Healios who provide online therapy for a wide range of young people, predominantly for the NHS.

I worked for 13 years in the NHS, spending several years in a specialist service for post-traumatic stress disorder and complex trauma. Prior to qualifying as clinical psychologist, I worked for a number of years in management, commissioning and strategy roles.
