About me
Richard Lang is a Specialist Registrar in Podiatric Surgery, with advanced training in the surgical management of foot and ankle conditions.
He graduated in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2009 and relocated to London to begin his NHS career. Richard spent several years working in a high-risk foot department, where he managed complex diabetic wounds and paediatric cases. It was during this time that he developed a strong interest in surgical intervention and its impact on long-term patient outcomes.
Richard went on to complete a master's degree in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery in 2018 and achieved his Master of Podiatric Surgery in 2023. He now holds the title of Specialist Registrar in Podiatric Surgery, continuing to develop his surgical expertise under the College of Podiatry's national training pathway.
His specialist interests include ingrown toenails, heel, midfoot and forefoot pain, Achilles tendon disorders, arthritic joint conditions, flat feet, paediatrics, and sports or activity-related injuries. Many of the conditions he treats involve surgical correction or intervention to improve function and relieve pain.
Richard is passionate about podiatric surgery and remains committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to his patients.
