About me
I currently work-part time in the Leeds IAPT service and part-time as an independent CBT practitioner. I completed my PG Diploma in High Intensity CBT in 2009, gaining full accreditation in 2012. I have worked in the Leeds IAPT service for 10 years as a CBT therapist delivering evidence-based 1 to 1 interventions. I work with adults aged 17 years experiencing a wide range of common mental health problems including PTSD, worry, panic, phobias, OCD, depression, body dysmorphic disorder and long-term conditions. As part of my CPD and accreditation, I attend a range of training events to further my knowledge and ensure I am delivering effective and up to date interventions. I have 10 years experience of supervising colleagues in CBT.
Prior to qualifying as a CBT therapist, I worked in the primary care mental health service as a mental health worker delivering 1 to 1 therapies and health promotion events. I have 2 years experience previous to this as a clinical psychology assistant in an in-patient service for women with complex mental health needs delivering 1 to 1, group and family interventions. I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of Leeds and I have completed the Foundation Course in Systemic Family Therapy also at The University of Leeds.
