About me

With 20 years' experience working as a therapist, Counselling and Psychotherapy has become both my career and my passion. Holding full BACP Accreditation alongside a Diploma and Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

It is a privilege to work with people taking what can be the bravest of decisions to come to therapy. There is a vast array of noise out there and many questions arise when it comes to seeking therapy, from what type of therapy to what type of therapist. It can all be very overwhelming and confusing. I hope that I can help you in finding a sense of relief and calm amongst these uncertainties, in offering you a safe, experienced and professional space, where we can explore, understand and work with whatever is troubling you in confidence.

My practice deploys the Integrative, which means I'm qualified to work with and draw upon major therapeutic disciplines, including Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic and Solution Focused Therapy and over more recent years a focus on the mind and body connection, particularly the nervous system, which relates to my work with anxiety, emotional dysregulation and the impact of trauma. This way of working reflects my experience that people need different types of help and support at various stages in their lives. Over the years, I have observed clients responding well to this way of working, most notably by moving forward in the direction that is right for them and finding a new-found curiosity in themselves and their life.

Both the internal and external world enters the therapy space and I am there to support you in finding clarity and understanding, so that you may find ways to lead life more on your terms.

Areas of interest

I have experience working with adults and young people who have presented with a number of issues from work stress; relationship problems, anxiety; depression; self harm; intrusive thoughts; eating disorders and the impact of trauma. Working from an integrative approach allows movement across different theories and modalities which I offer from a humanistic and relational position.
