About me
I qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Liverpool in 2013, when I began working in the NHS with children and young people.
I moved to working in private practice in 2019 and I have been working with young people and adults with a range of presenting issues including low mood, anxiety, trauma, and work related stress.
.
I have always been passionate about early intervention and prevention within mental health and I take a Positive Psychology approach to building on individual's strengths and enhancing resilience to improve wellbeing.
I am skilled in integrating a range of therapeutic approaches to develop a tailored therapy that we collaboratively feel will be of most benefit to you.
I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
The types of issues I am able to help with include (but not limited to) anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, depression/low mood, and difficulties adjusting to change.
I strongly believe in the value of the therapeutic relationship in helping people to address the challenges they are facing within a safe and supportive space.
I am available for face to face and remote therapy.
I am professionally registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and I am Chartered with the British Psychological Society.
Treated problems include: depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and adjustment issues.
I have recently completed further training around assessment and working therapeutically with neurodivergence. I am happy to offer support to people who may have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and/or autism to further understand what this may mean to them.
I look forward to working with you.
