About me

Dr Paradisopoulos is a compassionate and experienced clinical psychologist, from a multiracial background, with over 10 years experience working in various child and adult NHS services, as well as the private sector. She works with people across the lifespan who are experiencing challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, and relationship difficulties. She draws flexibly on a number of therapeutic models in her practice, including cognitive behavioural and compassion focused therapies, to provide meaningful and tailored support. Her clinical experiences have included working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. She is committed to providing a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space for her clients by taking a curious and open approach, working alongside clients to empower them to meet their goals.

She continues to engage in further professional development and training, including publishing peer-reviewed research articles. Since qualifying in 2012 she has completed additional post-graduate training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents with Depression (IPTA) and is an accredited IPTA therapist, registered with IPTUK.

She is an experienced supervisor and trainer, and has provided consultation within schools and early years settings. Her therapeutic work has included supporting parents in the perinatal period experiencing adjustment difficulties and/or postnatal depression and anxiety.

In addition to working in the private sector she works as a Principal Clinical Lecturer on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire.
