About me
I am a substantive consultant General, Oncoplastic and Melanoma Surgeon. I graduated from Cairo University Medical School ( Kasr Al Aini) where was awarded my MB BCh in 1987. I had my initial training in General and Paediatric Surgery. I obtained an MSc. in surgery 1992. I thereafter sat the Primary FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993, where I was awarded the Hallett's prize for outstanding performance. I benefited from further trainig for a couple of years following which I moved to the UK to advance my training. I spent a 6 month observership period at the Royal Free and sat the Final FRCS of England and Royal college of Surgeons of Ireland in 1995. I therefater undertook further training in various surgical posts initially at Senior House Officer and subsequently at specialist registrar level, where I was trained in multiple general surgical specialties. I obtained an MSc. in surgical Sciences from the University of London 1998. I sat the exit exam for the new curriculum FRCS in 2009 and was awarded the FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I was awarded the CCST in 2014 following which I was included onto the Specialst registry of the GMC.I was appointed a locum consultant in Breast surgery at the University of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. I then secured a substantive post in Breast Surgery at the South TEES Foundation Trust Hospitals in Yorkshire.Due tofamily circumstances I moved down to the South East initially as a Locum and subsequently in a substantive capacity in the aforementioned specialty in Frimley Park Hospital in 2015.
