About me
Dr. Jo Wilson is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with many years experience working both privately and in the NHS as a clinician and senior manager. An Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, she has a degree in Psychology from Goldsmiths College, London, an M.Phil in Criminology from Cambridge University, and an M.Sc and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Essex and Tavistock Clinic London. She has studied advanced groupwork at the Institute of Group Analysis and the Tavistock Clinic, and worked on both the Hertfordshire and Essex University Clinical Psychology Doctorate training courses. She qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1991 and since then has practiced continuously working in both individual and group settings, with a special interest in the treatment of depression and relationship problems. In 2017 she completed her training as an accredited Advanced Group Schema Therapist and Trainer with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) . She is also an accredited Individual Schema Therapist (ISST) and uses a number of therapeutic models in her day to day practice including schema, CBT, systemic and psychodynamic formulations.
