Dr Shyamal Mashru is a consultant psychiatrist and the Medical Lead for the Adult ADHD service at Barnet Hospital in North London, UK.

Dr Mashru holds virtual appointments via video link as well as face to face assessments at a clinic in Central London, which comprise of an initial 90 minute diagnostic assessment for ADHD including a detailed diagnostic report, followed by 30-minute follow-up appointments as required.

He is aware that many conditions can co-exist with ADHD has he is an expert in treating complex presentations.

Dr Mashru graduated with an MBBS from King's College London in 2007. In addition to his medical degree, he has also completed a bachelor's degree in pharmacology, giving him a strong basis of knowledge for optimisation of medications for patients as well as ensuring he can discuss benefits and side effects of these medications in detail. He undertook his psychiatry training in North London before becoming a consultant psychiatrist at Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.

Initial ADHD assessments with Dr. Mashru are online and generally last 90 minutes with 30 minutes afterwards that Dr Mashru uses to produce an in-depth report for his patient. This is then followed by the correct treatment according to the needs of the patient.
