About me
I am a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist. I have worked for the NHS for 12 years. From 2007 till 2016 I was a Senior Clinical Fellow and then a Locum Consultant in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals. In 2016 I was appointed Consultant in the Department of Paediatric Surgery, Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. In the past I have also undertaken scholarships and locum work in other centres in the UK, such as Edinburgh, Cardiff, London, Oxford, Bristol.
Areas of interest
I look after children requiring a wide spectrum of surgical treatment, such as groin and abdominal surgery, hernia operations, undescended testis, circumcisions, other minor procedures such as tongue-tie release, ingrowing toe-nails, etc. My particular expertise is in paediatric urology, problems relating to external genitalia, penile abnormalities, hypospadias, labial adhesions, etc. I also perform laparoscopic surgery for certain urological conditions, such as undescended testis, varicocele, etc. A large part of my practice is consultations of children with kidney abnormalities and bladder dysfunctions, day and night time wetting, urinary tract infections.
