About me

About
Mr Ali has worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon, specialising in foot and ankle surgery at the University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust since 2015.

Mr Ali obtained his primary medical qualification from the University College London Medical School in 2002. He undertook his basic surgical training at The Ipswich Hospital and higher surgical training in orthopaedic & trauma surgery on the Oswestry/Stoke Orthopaedic Training programme. He subsequently carried out further specialisation posts at the Northern General Hospital and Leeds Teaching Hospitals in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Mr Ali has a keen interest in medical education and surgical training of junior and higher orthopaedics surgical trainees. He is s Royal College of Surgeons (England) surgical tutor and (FRCS T&O Examination) Examiner. He also undertakes quality assurance work for the royal of college of Surgeons.

He has expertise in all areas of foot and ankle surgery in both the trauma and elective setting particularly relating to complex hind foot and forefoot deformities, sports injuries, soft tissue problems and diabetic feet.

Research

Mr Ali has conducted research and presented on ankle replacements and has recently published on achilles tendon injuries. He has a wide range of research interest that also include ankle fractures.
