About me

I am a BACP Registered/ Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist of 20 years experience.
I have worked within the NHS, Terence Higgins Trust, a Meningitis organisation and with a local Self-funding Charity for 7 years.
I have successfully worked with male and female clients of all ages.
My professional life has included working with older people on a project in Shropshire which involved dance and creative events and an older people's project in West Sussex to help older people socialise and learn how to overcome feelings associated with loss and loneliness.
I work from two Community rooms within Angmering. There is parking available at both rooms.
My area covers postcodes from BN12 to BN18.

Areas of interest

My clients are medium and longer-term clients aged 18 years and over.
This includes Carers and older people with visual impairment.
I have experience of working with , stress; anxiety; depression; loss; low self esteem with a medium-term approach using elements of CBT and Mindfulness and Psycho Dynamic Counselling techniques.
I have trained in telephone counselling.
For childhood issues and self enhancement I use a Psychotherapeutic approach and work in an Integrative; way based on a Person-Centred model.
I believe the professional relationship between Counsellor and client is central to the counselling process and the foundation that facilitates change.
