About me

I am a registered BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 16 years experience working across local and national organisations, schools, the NHS, in addition to private practice.

If you're looking for support with your emotional or mental health, going through a difficult period, or seeking help to navigate work or home relationships, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space, alongside warmth and curiosity, to help you find a way forward.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood or stress, as well as those going through grief, loss or change. I also have extensive experience working with people recovering from past or recent trauma, and those looking to address self-defeating patterns or beliefs that impact their lives, relationships or self-esteem.

I specialise in Integrative Therapy, a collaborative approach grounded in deepening self-understanding. In tailoring the therapy to your individual needs and goals, we can emphasise:
-making sense of and working through your experiences
-exploring patterns of thinking, feeling, acting and relating
-developing greater self-connection
-addressing the root causes of your difficulties
-developing practical ideas to support change

I have a particular interest in Schema Therapy, which has been shown to be especially effective with long-standing patterns rooted in earlier life experience.

With someone to share their journey, clients find the courage to explore the parts of their lives and themselves that may feel difficult or painful. With greater self-awareness and new perspectives, therapy can support you to improved wellbeing, living with greater confidence or getting back on an even keel.

My therapeutic approach is based on a relational and humanistic framework, integrating Psychodynamic therapy, Person-Centred therapy, Schema therapy, CBT, Gestalt therapy, existential, creative, experiential and systemic models.

Additional roles include Clinical Supervisor and Trainer, and previously Clinical Supervisor for a BA in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Tutor for a BACP Accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling, School Counsellor, Counsellor in Primary Care.

I also have many years experience providing therapy to children and young people managing anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, family difficulties, trauma and loss.
