About me

I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council). I work online with individuals aged 16 and over, experiencing a range of difficulties including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, self-harm and personality disorder diagnoses. For some people, they are clear about the problems that they are experiencing and want to resolve through therapy, however other people may just have a sense that they are stuck, feel overwhelmed or are not behaving in ways that align with their values. Therapy can help to make sense of this and begin to overcome the barriers.

I use therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and EMDR, and therapy is tailored to clients’ difficulties & goals. My approach is a balance of understanding what's led to difficulties along with developing new strategies to better manage unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Engaging in therapy requires courage and the relationship between client and therapist is central. For some people it can take time to develop trust and so I offer both short and longer-term therapy.
