About me
Dr Pajaniappane is a Consultant Audiovestibular Physician, a rare type of medical specialist trained in the diagnosis and management of hearing and balance disorders.
He is a Consultant at one of the UK’s leading Audiovestibular medicine centres, with specialist knowledge and interest in dizziness, vertigo, vestibular and balance disorders. He has significant expertise having diagnosed and treated hundreds of patients. The majority of his workload tends to be referrals from other centres and specialists.
He is otherwise Honorary Secretary for the British Association of Audiovestibular Physicians and a passionate advocate for patients with vestibular disorders. He regularly lecturers and teaches in respected courses to a wide audience, sharing and promoting his expertise and passion in audiovestibular disorders. He has written multiple book chapters in respected publications.
He is research lead within his department with interests including vestibular migraine, Meniere's disease, Persistent Perceptual Postural Dizziness (PPPD) and Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD). He also sees patients with hearing loss & tinnitus for medical investigations and advising on management.
Dr Pajaniappane qualified from the prestigious Royal Free & University College London Medical School. Having initially trained in ENT surgery (otolaryngology) and, after successfully obtaining qualifications from the Royal College Surgeons of England (MRCS & DOHNS), he furthered his interest and passion for hearing and balance disorders, obtaining a Master's degree in Audiovestibular Medicine with Merit from University College London.
Dr Pajaniappane enjoys treating both children and adults having gained his experience at major London teaching hospitals such as Great Ormond Street.
With sound theoretical and research foundations, Dr Pajaniappane brings up to date evidence-based practice in the care of all his patients. He is able to offer both private consultation and relevant diagnostic testing.
