About me

Life can be extremely tough at times. It can feel as though things are getting on top of you, that you are stuck, or it can seem as though what you once knew about yourself has been lost. Most people have experienced anxiety, low mood, pain or suffering at some point in their lives. This might be because of difficult early life experiences, challenges within relationships, stress at work, a recent traumatic experience, or perhaps an unbearable battle with your own mind.

Therapy provides a safe and non-judgemental space to work through these difficulties. I can help you make sense of your experiences, and support you to discover new possibilities about yourself. Indeed some people also seek therapy solely for self-exploration and self-development. I place great importance on building a warm and collaborative relationship with people. I am flexible and work in ways that best fit a person’s needs, as well as considering the multiple identities that exist for a person.

I am a Clinical Psychologist providing short to long-term therapy to adults in my private practice, as well as therapy to patients within the NHS. I provide consultations, training and workshops to professionals, and families within the education sector. Additionally I am a guest lecturer at Goldsmiths University of London for MSc Foundations in clinical psychology. With 14 years experience within the field of mental health across both specialist and generic settings, I have extensive experience of providing therapy to adults, children, adolescents and families. Throughout my career I have worked across a wide range of difficulties of varying severity, providing one to one and group therapy. Whilst holding a senior psychologist position, I managed a specialist treatment pathway and supervised junior psychologists. My methods skilfully draw on a range of psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) including Mindfulness, Psychodynamic therapy, and Systemic/Narrative therapy. I am particularly interested in how early life experiences and relationships can continue to ‘play out’ in a person’s adult life, and wholeheartedly believe that with support, a person can feel empowered to challenge unwelcome patterns.

I am a registered psychological practitioner with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
