About me
Mr Kashif Ali is a Consultant Eye Surgeon based at the Countess of Chester Hospital since 2005 where he was the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology from 2017 to 2021 and is currently the lead for Glaucoma since 2015. He also practices at Nuffield Health Chester Hospital, The Grosvenor.
Mr Ali is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (2003) as well as College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (2001).
Mr Ali completed his training in Ophthalmology from Pakistan in 2000. He moved to the UK in 2003. He has very extensive training and experience in the UK and abroad. He has performed over 5000 cataract procedures with excellent results.
Mr Ali has an interest in cataract surgery (including complex cataracts), glaucoma surgery (including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, non-penetrating glaucoma surgery) and corneal surgery (including corneal transplants).
He is also well experienced in treating medical retinal conditions (such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions) and routine oculoplastic conditions.
Mr Ali is passionate about teaching and training and is Clinical Supervisor for Ophthalmic Trainees at the Countess of Chester Hospital. He is also part of the Training Faculty at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London.
