About me

I am a dynamic Consultant Cardiologist and provide a comprehensive consultation to my patients. I aim to provide efficient & high quality care so that my patients can make informed decisions about their health.

I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002 and went on to work in Dundee,Edinburgh, and Newcastle. Upon completion of MRCP in 2005, I undertook cardiac research at the University of Edinburgh, before moving south to undergo Cardiology training in Hull & East Yorkshire. I have a keen interest in complex coronary angioplasty and structural valvular intervention, and was successful in obtaining a Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) Fellowship at Kings' College Hospital, London. Following this I was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Castle Hill Hospital in 2016.

I am currently a high volume operator in coronary angioplasty including complex procedures, treating patients with heart attacks and angina.

I have developed specialised regional services at Castle Hill Hospital, where I successfully established the Hull TAVI program to serve the previously unmet need of patients from East Yorkshire and beyond. As TAVI Lead, my team and I aim to deliver high quality care to high risk elderly patients with aortic stenosis, who previously had to travel to much further centres for treatment.

I also have an interest in medical eduction and training, and am currently Training Programme Director for trainee cardiologists within East Yorkshire.
