Mr Durai � Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon
Robotic, Laparoscopic and Open Surgery Specialist

Mr Durai is an experienced General Surgeon with a distinguished special interest in Colorectal Surgery. He completed his higher surgical training across several renowned hospitals within the London Deanery, where he developed broad expertise in managing a wide range of general and colorectal conditions.

Following his registrar training, Mr Durai undertook a prestigious Post-CCT fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He subsequently worked as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for over a year, further refining his advanced surgical skills.

In addition to his clinical training, Mr Durai holds an MD from the University of London for his research in gene therapy in colorectal surgery. His academic background strengthens his commitment to evidence-based, cutting-edge care.

Mr Durai has extensive experience in colonoscopy and offers a full spectrum of surgical options�including robotic, laparoscopic, and open procedures. He tailors each approach carefully according to individual patient needs, clinical risks, expected benefits, and the availability of appropriate equipment.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Durai is a GMC-recognised trainer for junior doctors and higher surgical trainees, contributing actively to the development of the next generation of surgeons.
