About me

I am a Clinical Oncologist working in central London. My main area of expertise is in the use of radiotherapy to treat lung cancer, skin cancer and keloid scars.

I offer comprehensive care for the treatment of lung cancer, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy. Having access to state-of-the-art radiotherapy treatments including proton beam therapy (PBT), CyberKnife and MRI-guided treatment (MR-Linac) means there are instances where I am able to offer treatment that would not be possible using other technologies. I am often referred patients with tumours that can not be treated safely using more widely available radiotherapy techniques.

Proton beam therapy for lung cancer has the advantage of reducing the radiation dose to the normal tissues surrounding the cancer. This means I can offer potentially curative treatment to patients with large tumours, tumours next to the heart or spinal cord, and patients with lung diseases that make curative standard radiotherapy impossible or too high risk.

As the role of stereotactic radiotherapy for metastatic disease is becoming clearer, I am seeing more patients for this treatment. Stereotactic radiotherapy for oligometastatic disease gives the chance of ablating (eradicating) the sites where the cancer has spread. I can offer this treatment, where appropriate, to any type of cancer. I am frequently referred people who have metastatic breast cancer, melanoma, colon cancer or prostate cancer for this treatment.

Stereotactic radiosurgery for brain metastases is highly effective at controlling cancer that has spread to the brain. I offer this treatment at a choice of two central London private hospitals.

Radiotherapy for skin cancer has high rates of success with excellent cosmetic outcomes. It's not unusual for me to meet patients alongside a dermatological or plastic surgeon to help them decide on the best treatment for their skin cancer.

Similarly, the effective treatment of keloid scars requires similar team working with a plastic surgeon - offering removal of the scar quickly followed by radiotherapy - to give the best chance of preventing scar recurrence.

I see patients from across the UK and internationally. For those some distance from London, I can offer an initial video consultation and then discuss how we can support you in coming to London for treatment.
