About me

Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

He ranked first in the National Selection process in 2012 and completed his higher urological training in North London, including a year at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals, where he subspecialised in endourology and the management of kidney stones. He was awarded The Urology Foundation Endourology Travelling Fellowship Award.

Upon completion of his Specialist Training he undertook a Fellowship post at Luton & Dunstable Hospitals subspecialising in laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) for the treatment of men with voiding difficulties and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Mr Ellis has a broad general urology practice and offers subspecialist expertise in ureteroscopic management of kidney stones, HoLEP for BPH and endoscopic management of bladder and upper tract urothelial cancers (UTUC).

He is a core member of the bladder cancer, renal cancer and kidney stone multi-disciplinary teams at Royal Free London NHS Trust.

He has served as faculty member on various national and international workshops and masterclasses in both stone management and HoLEP surgery.
