I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Trust Lead for Cognitive Analytic Therapy in Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. I have worked in this role for 23 years.
I see private clients in Chapel Allerton, Leeds on Thursday mornings.

Research interests

My M.Sc research involved working with children who had been sexually abused and helping prepare and support them to testify in court.
My doctorate research explored the impact of childhood sexual abuse upon adult relationships. I also interviewed female survivors of sexual abuse and clinicians about their opinions and experiences of confronting abusers and recommendations for adequate preparation and support.
More recently, my research has involved evaluation of the use of a relational model to guide the work of mental health staff teams and minimise the likelihood of services repeating problematic relational patterns that may lead to iatrogenic harm.
