About me

Dr Zainab Laftah

Dr Zainab is a UK trained Consultant Dermatologist at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She graduated from the University of Warwick in 2008 and completed her medical and dermatology specialist training in London’s leading teaching hospitals. Her holistic and patient-centred approach is highly regarded and had led to an additional appointment as the surgical Lead at University Lewisham Hospital.

She is experienced in all aspects of dermatology and is highly competent in performing surgery after completing a year of advanced dermatological surgery. She has a particular interest in the fields of medical and aesthetic dermatology, expertly combining the skills needed for safe, effective and rewarding results.

She is a dedicated doctor who has won prizes for her outstanding academic excellence. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.

Dr Zainab also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and is involved in training future doctors and dermatologists. She holds a position on the Dermatology Council Committee of the Royal Society of Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of Royal College of Physicians, British Association of Dermatologists, British Society for Dermatological Surgery, and British Cosmetic Dermatology Group.
