About me

I believe that we all experience challenges and difficulties in life. Counselling and psychological therapy can provide an empowering opportunity to understand, process and overcome these difficulties.
I offer one-to-one psychological therapy in Bristol and the surrounding area for those who wish to work face to face. I offer remote therapy nationwide via video or phone call. This provides my clients with a confidential, non-judgemental space to discuss their thoughts and feelings and consider their behaviours and choices. As a Counselling Psychologist, I collaborate with my clients on identifying their goals and presenting problems and together we use evidenced-based practice to assist them in moving forward. At the centre of my practice I believe in creating a supportive therapeutic relationship to facilitate this process.

I am a chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council and the British Psychological Society. I hold a BSc honours degree in Psychology and a doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I work from a relational stance, placing the therapeutic relationship at the very core of my practice, research and training. I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches including; Person-Centered approaches, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Having worked with adolescents, adults and older adults in a variety of settings, both in the public and private sector, I have a breadth of experience. I have worked within the National Health Service in sexual health services, drug and alcohol services and working with those with long term mental health issues. I have also worked within community based young people’s services and women’s services. I qualified in 2012 and from 2012 – 2017 I worked in a secondary school setting implementing and managing a school-based counselling service. Since 2012 I have also worked as an associate of Psychology Sussex and in my own private practice as Brighton Counselling Psychologist.

I am now working as Bristol Counselling Psychologist and offer one-to-one sessions for anyone who would like to engage in therapy at this time. I am also able to offer remote sessions and training and supervision. I have a varied range of experience and subsequently I am able to work with clients with diverse presenting problems
