About me

Mr Nizar Asadi is a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, specialising in adult thoracic surgery with a focus on minimally invasive techniques and complex airway and lung pathology.

His clinical practice includes the management of lung cancer, mediastinal tumours, chest wall conditions, pneumothorax, pleural disease, and tracheal disorders. He has a particular interest in video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) and Robotic thoracic surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Asadi serves as Cardiothoracic Specialty Dean and Educational Lead, demonstrating his strong commitment to surgical education and the development of future cardiothoracic surgeons. He is also a Clinical Ambassador for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Charity, supporting innovation and advancement within the specialty.

He works closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives an individualised, evidence-based treatment plan. Mr Asadi is committed to clear communication and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and fully supported throughout their care.
