About me
Dr Tariq Ali is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital where he has been working since 2017. He originally trained as a GP in London in 2011, during which he gained his MRCGP. Alongside his training as a GP, he gained his MRCP and also was awarded a Master’s Degree (MSc) in the physics of Diagnostic Imaging from Oxford University.
His clinical experience during this period cemented his passion for radiology, and more specifically in interventional radiology, following which he successfully got a training number at the radiology training programme in Cambridge. He gained his FRCR in 2014 and completed his training in Diagnostic & Interventional radiology in 2017.
Tariq specialises in vascular and non-vascular intervention but has a special interest in treating complex aneurysmal disease.
Tariq is very passionate about training; in particular, simulation training in interventional radiology. He is the regional lead for simulation, runs simulation-based courses and is the module lead for vascular and interventional radiology. He is also an Associate Training Programme Director for the Norwich Radiology Training programme. He enjoys research and has authored and co-authored publications in scientific journals and postgraduate books.
