About me

I am a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and joined the NHS in 2008. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I am currently lead psychologist over two early intervention teams for first episode psychosis.
I supervise and train the teams to think psychologically when working with clients. I am also trained in Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT).

I have worked with anxiety and depression, including panic, health anxiety, social anxiety, trauma and OCD. I previously worked as clinical lead in a team working with anxiety and depression, supervising and training CBT therapists to support clients..

I utilise both CBT and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) for depression as per NICE guidelines. I specialise in trauma work utilising both CBT and EMDR. I am working towards accreditation in CBT with BABCP. I integrate other types of therapy in to my practice including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) for interpersonal and emotional regulation issues (often diagnosed as borderline personality disorder) and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) for shame-based difficulties and self-criticism. I also undertake assessment and treatment for medico-legal purposes, including work related to road traffic accidents (RTA).

I have worked in private practice alongside my NHS work since 2014 and have been able to help many clients. Difficulties have ranged from stress to bipolar affective disorder to trauma and/or borderline personality difficulties. I am very passionate about supporting clients in their recovery and will do all I can to alleviate distress.

Even though this site should not have to say this, a client has asked me to confirm that I am LGBT+ friendly as this would have made her feel safer when choosing a therapist. I hope this statement makes you feel safe too :)

I am currently offering face-to-face and remote work via ZOOM plus telephone consultations if needed.
