About me
I have been a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2016, initially as a Locum prior to being appointed to a substantive post in 2018. I have a special interest in Young Adult Hip conditions, and deal with these through a mixture of Pelvic Osteotomies (PAO), Hip Arthroscopy and Hip Replacement. I am part of a team of surgeons who deal with Pelvic and Acetabular fracture for South Wales.
My Orthopaedic Registrar training was across South Wales. During this time, I undertook a MSc in Trauma Surgery, and was awarded an MD by Swansea University for work on computation engineering for proximal femoral fractures. I furthered my training with a fellowship in Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery in a Major Trauma Centre, as well as a further fellowship in Young Adult Hip Surgery with Mr Johan Witt, an international expert in the field.
I was awarded an International AO Trauma Fellowship in 2013 to Denver, USA. I have visited several international renowned surgeons to further my knowledge, including the Steadman Clinic in Vale, Colorado.
