About me

I am a specialist upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon with many years of consultant experience.

My practice encompasses general keyhole abdominal surgery of the upper GI system. I specialise in gallstones & gallbladder surgery, weight-loss surgery, reflux / hiatus hernia surgery and both general and complex hernia repairs.

Most surgery I normally performed using specialist keyhole (laparoscopic techniques).

I am one of Bristol’s leading bariatric surgeons as a Consultant Surgeon at North Bristol NHS Trust based at Southmead Hospital. I am a member of the National Bariatric Surgery Registry, and the Local Principal Investigator for National Bariatric Surgery (ByBandSleeve) and Gallstone (Sunflower) Clinical Trials.

I also have an interest in specialist bariatric and reflux upper GI endoscopy

Including Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgery for complex incisional hernias, recurrent hernias or very large hernias.
