I am a chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience across a range of settings in the NHS and more recently in independent practice. These include a busy multi-cultural community mental health team, cognitive analytic group & individual therapy for adults who had experienced childhood sexual abuse and often other forms of abuse / neglect, acute general hospitals, acute psychiatric hospitals including specialist eating disorder units. I completed my cognitive analytic therapy training in 2006. I am also trained in interpersonal therapy (IPT) and eating disorder specific interventions such as CBT, MANTRA, and SSCM. I completed my EMDR (level 3 training in 2022). Since leaving my post as consultant clinical psychologist and clinical lead for eating disorders in Sussex in July 2018, I work nationally providing expert assessments for the courts and as a clinical associate trainer for BEAT, the national eating disorder charity. I also have a small independent practice and offer seeing patients also remotely via Zoom for example where appropriate.
