About me

Dr Winter has been a Consultant in Medical Oncology since January 2011 after completing his specialist training in medical oncology in Sheffield, including a Doctor of Medicine clinical and translational research degree in breast cancer. He specialises in all aspects of non-surgical systemic breast cancer treatments. He is also the Lead Breast Cancer clinician at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the breast cancer sub-speciality lead for the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network.
He is also the Deputy Director of the Sheffield Trophoblastic Disease Centre and since 2018 has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Organisation for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease. He has a keen interest in clinical trials and has published in a number of peer reviewed journals in both breast cancer and Gestational Trophoblastic Disease. In 2018 he was appointed to Honorary Reader in the Department of Oncology and Metabolism, University of Sheffield
