About me

Mr Subramaniam qualified from Madras Medical College in India, in 1994. After completing his basic surgical training from University of West Indies, he worked as a research fellow at Western Infirmary, Glasgow. His research on stem cells was nominated for the prestigious Medawar medal by the British Transplantation Society. He was awarded CCT in 2010 after completing higher surgical training from the West of Scotland rotation. Mr.Subramaniam further completed Endovascular Fellowship at University College Hospital Galway, Ireland. He worked as a Consultant Vascular surgeon overseas for 5 years, following which he was appointed Consultant Vascular surgeon by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS trust in 2015 and currently practices across Lincolnshire.
He has extensive experience in limb salvage in diabetic patients, lower limb bypass, carotid and aortic disease. The common venous procedures carried out at BMI are Endovenous thermal ablation, Ultrasound guided foam Sclerotherapy for varicose veins and open surgery for varicose veins. He has a patent for a retractor he has designed and has a keen interest in history of medicine and surgery.
