About me
Dr Srisha Hebbar is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive, liver and pancreatic conditions. He has particular expertise in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including complex polyp removal, ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
Dr Hebbar graduated from Bangalore University in 2000 and went on to complete his postgraduate medical training in South Wales and the West Midlands. His specialist training included a colonoscopy research fellowship in Cheltenham, experience within the specialist Liver Unit in Birmingham, and advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
He was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospitals of North Midlands in 2013. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Hebbar has held a number of senior leadership, teaching and quality-improvement roles. He is Director of the Endoscopy Training Centre and has previously served as UHNM Endoscopy Lead. He has also held national roles within the British Society of Gastroenterology, including Secretary and Endoscopy Quality Improvement Lead.
Dr Hebbar is passionate about education and regularly teaches and trains endoscopists from the UK and internationally through hands-on courses, specialist workshops and symposia.
In his private practice, Dr Hebbar sees patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions. He understands that digestive health concerns can often be worrying or uncomfortable to discuss, and places particular importance on listening carefully to his patients, explaining investigations and treatment options clearly, and involving them in decisions about their care.
His approach combines specialist expertise with thoughtful, evidence-based and individualised care, helping patients understand both their diagnosis and the options available to them.
