About me

I am an experienced and passionate Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of practice across a variety of specialist adult mental health and psychological services in the NHS and, more recently, in the private sector.

I support adults facing a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges, including stress, overwhelm, low mood, anxiety, feeling stuck, low self-esteem, difficulties with emotion regulation, unresolved traumas, and relationship problems. I also specialize in addressing the emotional aspects of chronic physical health conditions and persistent physical symptoms, such as CFS/ME, FND, IBS, and chronic pain.

I am trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic models and approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and systemic theories. I have an extensive specialist training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and other third-wave approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have in-depth expertise in mindfulness practice, supported by training and on-going personal practice. I stay up-to-date with the latest discoveries in neuroscience to continually enhance my practice.

I integrate these models to create a tailored approach that aligns with each client's unique needs and goals. I strive to foster a warm, safe, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can feel empowered to explore their challenges, gain new perspectives, and access their inner strengths. My approach is compassionate and holistic, addressing both mind and body while focusing on developing skills and resources to increase well-being in my clients lives.
