About me
Mr Ahmed Sweed is a fellowship trained surgeon having completed two head and neck fellowships. The first at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust in London in 2008, and the second at Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust in Liverpool in 2015 with a special focus on thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Mr Sweed started his training in Egypt at Ain Shams University Hospitals, during which he was awarded a prize scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education where he completed his London fellowship. Mr Sweed then undertook further training at the University Hospitals of Bristol NHS Trust before finishing his training in Liverpool.
In addition to his current post as Consultant ENT Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Mr Sweed is still academically linked to Ain Shams University in Egypt as an Associate Professor in the Otolaryngology Department where he contributes to postgraduate teaching and training courses.
